- Four months of disruption begin at New York’s JFK Airport
- Passengers can expect considerable disruption over the next 4 months as its main runway closes for major repairs. The Port Authority says that closure of the runway, one of the longest in the world, is vital as the concrete surface needs to be renewed to accommodate larger aircraft. It is expected that many passengers will face an average delay of 30 minutes.

- Emirates A380 to start service to Beijing, China
- Emirates will add Beijing to its list of destinations served by the A380 from Aug 1 2010, when it rosters the superjumbo onto its morning EK306 service from Dubai. The move means Emirates will serve a total of nine routes with the A380, including Toronto, London Heathrow, Paris, Seoul, Bangkok, Sydney/Auckland (with one aircraft) and Jeddah.
