i-Care Challenge:
De Beauvoir School in Hackney is a community school that incorporates a nursery and caters for children up to the age of 11. The school prides itself on both its positive and inclusive ethos. Kids Company is a registered charity which is devoted to providing practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner city children and young people. Their principle objective is to return children to their childhood, believing that 'all children and young people deserve to be loved and cared for'.
Reed & Mackay was delighted to help this school create a more welcoming atmosphere for the children, many of whom experience deprivation in their home environment. To accomplish this project, a group of Reed & Mackay staff, led by our CEO, spent a day painting murals, playground furniture and wendy houses.
