Wintons Primary School.

November 2009 - The Science Museum – London

i-Care Challenge:
In conjunction with the local charity Kids Company, Reed & Mackay staff escorted a group of 30 children from Winton Primary School (a multi-racial community school which is located in the heart of King’s Cross) to the Science Museum for a day of fun activities.  The aim was to help the school realise part of its vision to present ‘inspiring topics which motivate children to learn’ and encourage ‘children to take responsibility for themselves and others’.

During the day, staff from Reed & Mackay took the children to the moon – courtesy of IMAX. After lunch in the Science Museum, the children investigated how we use energy now and what can be done to make a difference in the future.

Quotes:

“The day was amazing and it was incredible how quickly the kids took to all of us - possibly because we are all kids at heart and were enjoying the experience as much as them!  Very proud to be part of such a positive experience for the kids and equally how everyone got totally involved and made all the kids feel very special indeed.”
Andy Hibbert - MD

“The best part was seeing the kid’s excitement and there were huge smiles throughout the whole day.”
Rupa Ghosh - Rail

“The kids were great, very open and communicative and I think we all benefitted hugely from the experience.”
Steve Spurgeon – Desk Manager
